Work with us

We're hiring for a Research Lead

The Research Lead role is a rare opportunity to work toward the practical transformation of our economy.

Our organisation

Purpose Foundation

Purpose Foundation’s mission is to build a more just economy by rewriting the rules of who benefits and controls assets in the economy. Our goal is to support commons-based, inclusive organizations that outcompete conventional capitalist corporate and finance structures, while building new forms of political and economic power. We are doing this by working directly with business and community leaders to create new ownership models that move capital into the service of people, planet and community for the long-term. Through this direct support work, we also identify and build the missing infrastructure that these models require to start, grow, and sustain.

The research

Shared Ownership & Community Economics

We have identified a core set of research that will support the development of novel infrastructure.  We are aiming to discover the success factors of tried and tested models of financially and legally networked approaches to linking projects’ goals and stakeholders to increase the resilience and competitiveness of individual projects and the network as a whole. This project is being overseen and managed by a dedicated project manager and advisors who you will report to.

Research Lead

The Research Lead role is a rare opportunity to work toward the practical transformation of our economy. The person who will succeed in this role will be mid-career, having had direct experience with businesses, finance and investment, financial model development, and writing compelling reports. Your comprehension of legal and financial terms will be a valuable asset.

You may be a seasoned economic researcher, an investor, or a serial entrepreneur on a break.
