Vanessa Roanhorse is working as a Purpose Futures Fellow to incubate the Matriarch Revolutionary Fund (MRF). The MRF is the United States’ first impact investment fund focused specifically on Native womxn-owned businesses through a rematriation lens. MRF will invest directly into three types of Native womxn-led businesses: early growth, established, and transformational. Investments may come in the form of loans, revenue-based investments, or forgivable loans/recoverable grants.

Vanessa Roanhorse (Diné) is the CEO of Roanhorse Consulting, a Indigenous women-led think tank that co-designs wealth and power building efforts that invests in thoughtful community-led efforts that put people back in the center. Vanessa is a co-founder of Native Women Lead, a national organization that lifts Indigenous women in business. She sits on the boards of NM Association of Grantmakers, Native Community Capital, Delta Institute, Zebras Unite and is an advisor to Angels of Impact Fund, Village Capital’s Finance Forward, and Decolonizing Wealth’s Indigenous Philanthropy Advisory Group.
